Here are the official record hottest and coldest temperatures ever recorded in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Located along the east bank of Havasu Lake along the Colorado River just north of the Parker Dam in western Arizona, Lake Havasu City has mild weather variations in temperatures and milder temperature variations than the extremes found in the state of Arizona or in almost all cities in the United States.

With a record hot temperature of 128 degrees, Lake Havaus City is obviously a warm weather city. Days when the temperature reaches 100 degrees or more are pretty common in Lake Havaus City and they can occur from March through October. The earliest 100 degree weather temperature day occurred on March 20, 1997, and the latest 100 degree day occurred on October 22, 2003.

The coldest weather temperature ever officially recorded in Lake Havasu City, Arizona is 28 degrees which occurred on February 4, 2011. 

Below freezing weather temperature days are not common in Lake Havasu City and they only really occur in January and February in any given year if they occur at all. The earliest below freezing date in Lake Havasu City was on December 29, 2015 and the latest was on February 4, 2011.

  • Coldest Temperature Ever Recorded in Arizona is -40 Degrees

The coldest temperature ever recorded in the state of Arizona is -40 degrees, which occurred on January 7, 1941, at Hawley Lake which is located about 350 miles east of Lake Havasu City in the White Mountains in eastern Arizona.

The difference between the all-time coldest temperature ever recorded in Lake Havasu City (28) and the all-time coldest temperature in the state of Arizona (-40) is 68 degrees. A huge difference.

Overall, Lake Havasu City is a place that gets very hot for most of the year and only gets a bit cold at times in the winter and this city has a much milder climate in temperature variations than the extremes found in the state of Arizona and in almost all cities in the United States.
