Ten Coldest Temperatures Ever Recorded in Death Valley, California

As anyone who has ever been there knows, it can get extremely hot in Death Valley, California. In fact, the hottest or highest temperature ever recorded in the world was recorded in Death Valley in the summer of 1913. But what is the coldest temperature ever recorded in Death Valley?

Here's a quick list of the ten coldest temperatures ever recorded in Death Valley since 1911. The last temperature listed has occurred in other years than the ones listed, I've just listed the most recent occurrences.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in Death Valley is 134 degrees which occurred on June 10, 1913. For many years it was thought that the hottest temperature in the world was 136 degrees recorded in Libya in 1922, but that temperature recording has since been invalidated. That makes the 134 degrees recorded in Death Valley in 1913 the hottest temperature recording in the world.
