The all-time record hottest weather temperature ever recorded in the state of Washington is 118 degrees, which occurred on August 5, 1961, at Ice Harbor Dam, which is located about 150 miles southwest of Spokane.


The difference between the all-time hottest temperature ever recorded in Spokane (108) and the all-time hottest temperature ever recorded in the state of Washington (118) is 10 degrees. A pretty big statistical difference.
All-time Record Coldest Temperature Ever Recorded in Spokane is -30 Degrees
The coldest temperature ever officially recorded in Spokane is -30 degrees, which has occurred on two different dates. The first time it was a record -30 degrees in Spokane was on January 15, 1888, and the second time was one day later on January 16, 1888.
Spokane can get pretty cold in the winter, as the city averages four days a year when the temperature drops below zero, and Spokane has had 10 days since 1881 when the temperature dropped below -23 degrees. Spokane averages 138 days a year when the temperature drops below the freezing mark.
Without any question, Spokane has a much different climate than Seattle does. Spokane gets hotter in the summer, and the city has a much lower record lowest temperature than Seattle has ever had.

The coldest weather temperature ever officially recorded in the state of Washington is -48 degrees, which occurred on December 30, 1968, in both Mazama and Winthrop.


Winthrop and Mazama are located only about 14 miles apart, and both towns are near the eastern edge of North Cascades National Park in northern Washington. Mazama and Winthrop are about 160 miles northwest of Spokane.
The difference between the all-time coldest temperature ever recorded in Spokane (-30) and the all-time coldest temperature ever recorded in the state of Washington (-48) is 18 degrees. A big statistical difference.
Overall, the city of Spokane has a much milder climate than the extremes found in the Evergreen State of Washington.
