The hottest temperature ever recorded in New York State is 108 degrees, which occurred on July 22, 1926 in Troy. That's two degrees hotter than New York City's all-time record.
Massachusetts - 107
The hottest temperature ever recorded in Massachusetts is 107 degrees, which occurred on August 2, 1975 in both Chester and New Bedford. That's three degrees hotter than Boston's all-time record temperature.
Pennsylvania - 110
The hottest temperature ever recorded in Pennsylvania is 110 degrees, which occurred on July 10, 1936 in Phoenixville. That's four degrees hotter than Philadelphia's all-time hottest temperature .
Virginia - 110
The hottest temperature ever recorded in Virginia is 110 degrees, which occurred on July 15, 1954 in Balcony Falls. That is four degrees hotter than Washington, D.C.'s all-time hottest temperature.
