Ten All-Time Hottest Weather Temperature Days in Las Vegas, Nevada

Here are the 10 all-time hottest weather temperature days in the history of Las Vegas, Nevada. The temperature data for Las Vegas dates back to 1937.



Las Vegas is one of the most visited cities in the world and anyone who has visited here or lives in the city knows, it can get pretty hot in Las Vegas. I've been in Las Vegas a few dozen times, and every time I've been there in the summer the temperature was over 100 degrees. Thankfully, all the casinos and hotels in Las Vegas keep the air way up.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in Las Vegas is 117 degrees, which occurred has occurred on three different dates. The first time was on July 24, 1942, the second time was on July 19, 2005, and the third time was on June 30, 2013. The hottest temperature ever recorded in the state of Nevada is 125 degrees, which occurred on June 29, 1994 in Laughlin.

One-hundred degree days are not at all unusual in Las Vegas. Going back to 1937, in at least one year every day in the months of May, June, July, August and September have had at least one 100 degree temperature day. The earliest date a 100 degree weather day occurred in any year since 1937 is May 1st. The latest day when a 100 degree day occurred is October 4th.

It has been 116 degrees in Las Vegas on other dates also but just the last seven are listed. The most recent really hot day in Las Vegas occurred on June 20, 2017, when the temperature soared to 117 degrees, tying the all-time hottest temperature in the city.

As the hottest temperature data above shows the hottest month of year in Las Vegas is July, which has an average daily temperature of 91.7 degrees. The second hottest month is August at 89.8 degrees, followed by June at 85.8 degrees and September at 81.7 degrees.
