For most people living in the United States February is the middle of winter and temperatures are running from cold to really cold but that's not true for all of the United States. 

Here is a list of 20 cities or places in the USA that have had 100 degree weather temperatures in the month of February.

The list includes one of the largest cities in the United States. Can you name that city? The answer is at the end of the list where the large city is listed. The rest of the cities are listed alphabetically. Here's a few clues to help you guess.

The city is not Phoenix or Las Vegas. Both those cities do not get really hot until later in the year.

The city is not near Death Valley, California. The Death Valley area also does not get really warm until later in the year and then it gets hotter than anywhere else in the world.

The city is not Miami or any city in the state of Florida. Most cities in Florida rarely reach the 100 degree mark and when they do it's in summer.

It's pretty remarkable that there are twenty cities or places in the United States that have had a 100 degree weather temperature day in the month of February. This author has looked high and low and up and down and every which way possible but has yet to find a city or place in the United States that has had a 100 degree weather temperature day in the month of January.
