The hottest weather temperature ever officially recorded in Clearwater, Florida is 102 degrees which occurred on July 10, 1997.

Clearwater is certainly a warm weather city. Days when the temperature reaches 90 degrees or more have occurred in Clearwater in every month of the year except for December, January and February. The average daily mean temperature for Clearwater is a balmy 72.6 degrees.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in the state of Florida is 109 degrees which occurred on June 29, 1931, in Monticello which is located about 220 miles north of Clearwater.

All-Time Record Coldest Weather Temperature Ever Recorded in Clearwater is 19 Degrees

The coldest weather temperature ever officially recorded in Clearwater, Florida is 19 degrees which occurred on December 14, 1962 and January 13, 1981. 

Even though Clearwater is a warm weather city, the temperature can drop to below freezing from November to March. But below freezing days are not common in the city and are pretty rare.

  • Coldest Temperature Ever Recorded in Florida is -2 Degrees

The coldest temperature ever recorded in the state of Florida is -2 degrees, which occurred on February 13, 1899, in Tallahassee which is located about 240 miles north of Clearwater. On February 13, 1899, the Great Blizzard of 1899 struck the northeastern part of North America spreading record temperatures all the way down to Cuba and bringing the only below zero temperature reading ever recorded in Florida. 

The difference between the all-time coldest temperature ever recorded in Clearwater (19) and the all-time coldest temperature in the state of Florida (-2) is 21 degrees. A big difference and a much larger difference than the hottest temperatures between the city and the state.

Overall, Clearwater is a city with very moderate weather temperatures and this beautiful tropical tourist area on the west coast of the Sunshine State has a much milder climate in temperature variations than the extremes found in the state of Florida and in almost all cities in the United States. Most can only dream of living in such a moderate climate temperature locale.
