The latest 100 degree weather temperature in McAllen history is not really all that late in the year. Some cities in the United States have had 100 degree weather temperature  into late November.

Obviously McAllen gets hot earlier in the year and then gets not quite so hot later in the year starting in mid-October. McAllen has had a 98 degree weather temperature day in November as well as 95 degree day in December. It is one of the few cities in the United States to have had 90 degree temperature days in every month of the year.
