I went to college in Boston and made many friends who were from the Worcester area, which has a metro area population of well over 900,000 people. It's a nice city to visit, we would sometimes go to concerts and sporting events in Worcester, and it is home to some great colleges like Holy Cross, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Clark University, UMass Medical School, Becker College, and Assumption College.
As a bit of weather trivia some might find hard to believe, the record hottest temperature in Worcester of 102 degrees is two degrees hotter than the all-time hottest temperature ever recorded in Miami, Florida. Worcester is over 1,400 miles north of Miami.
