I've been to San Jose a few times, and it's an interesting place to visit. It's the largest city in Silicon Valley, it has great weather almost all year, and the views of the city from the surrounding hills and mountains are fantastic, especially at night.
Though San Jose is located only about 50 miles south of San Francisco, the city can get considerably hotter than San Francisco does. In fact, San Jose's all-time hottest temperature is six degrees hotter than San Francisco's record, probably because San Francisco is right on the Pacific Ocean.
