The hottest weather temperature ever officially recorded in Pensacola is 106 degrees which occurred on July 14, 1980. 

Pensacola is certainly a warm weather city compared to most cities in the United States. The city averages 59 days a year when the temperature soars above 90 degrees and 90 degree days can occur in Pensacola from April through October. Days when the temperature reaches 100 degrees or more have occurred in Pensacola from May to September.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in the state of Florida is 109 degrees which occurred on June 29, 1931, in Monticello which is located about 200 miles east of Pensacola.

All-Time Record Coldest Weather Temperature Ever Recorded in Pensacola, Florida is 5 Degrees

The coldest weather temperature ever officially recorded in Port St. Lucie is 5 degrees which occurred on January 21, 1985. Below freezing days are not common in Pensacola and they only occur on average about 16 times a year.

  • Coldest Temperature Ever Recorded in Florida is -2 Degrees

The coldest temperature ever recorded in the state of Florida is -2 degrees, which occurred on February 13, 1899, in Tallahassee which is located 160 miles east of Pensacola. On February 13, 1899 a huge blizzard, known as the Great Blizzard of 1899, struck the eastern half of the United States spreading record cold temperatures all the way to Cuba. The temperature dipped to 7 degrees on that date in Pensacola for the second coldest temperature in city history.

The difference between the all-time coldest temperature ever recorded in Pensacola (5) and the all-time coldest temperature in the state of Florida (-2) is just 7 degrees. A larger difference than the record hottest temperatures but not that big a difference.

Overall, Pensacola has a slightly milder climate from a temperature perspective than the extremes found in the state of Florida and a much milder climate than almost all cities in the United States.
