The coldest weather temperature ever officially recorded in Beaumont, Texas is 8 degrees which occurred on December 23, 1989. Unofficially, the temperature dropped to 4 degrees in Beaumont during the Blizzard of 1895 on February 14 and 15, when some 30 inches of snow also fell in the city.

Below freezing weather temperature days can occur in Beaumont from November to March. The earliest below freezing date in Beaumont was on November 3, 1951 and the latest below freezing day was on March 2, 1927.

The coldest temperature ever recorded in the state of Texas is -23 degrees, which occurred on February 8, 1933, in Seminole. Located near the New Mexico border in west Texas, Seminole is some 600 miles northwest of Beaumont. 

The difference between the all-time coldest temperature ever officially recorded in Beaumont (8) and the all-time coldest temperature in the state of Texas (-23) is 31 degrees. A big difference and a much larger difference than the hottest temperatures between the city and the state.

Overall, Beaumont is a city with very moderate weather temperatures and this warm weather city located 90 miles east of Houston where the Texas Oil Boom started has a much milder climate in temperature variations than the extremes found in the state of Texas and in almost all cities in the United States.
