These are the ten all-time hottest weather temperature days recorded in the city of San Diego, California. The temperature data for Downtown San Diego dates back to 1874. As anybody who lives in the city, or who has visited here knows, San Diego can get pretty hot at times.

San Diego is the 8th largest city in the United States with a population of some 1.4 million people who live in the city proper which also ranks 2nd in the California behind LA. The metro population for the San Diego area is 3.1 million people which ranks as the 17th most populated metro area in the United States.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in San Diego, California is 111 degrees, which occurred on September 26, 1963. The hottest temperature ever recorded in the state of California is 134 degrees, which occurred on July 10, 1913 in Death Valley.

One hundred degree weather days are not uncommon in the city of San Diego, though they generally occur in late summer and early fall. The earliest date that a 100 degree weather day occurred in San Diego in any year dating back to 1874 is June 10, 1979. That latest date that a 100 degree temperature day occurred in any year is November 4, 2010.

San Diego has never has a 100 degree weather day in the month of August. Only once in July has the temperature reached 100 degrees, and just twice in June.
