All-time Record Hottest and Coldest Temperatures Ever Recorded in Las Vegas

Official weather records have been kept in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1937. These are the all-time record hottest and coldest temperatures ever recorded in Las Vegas since 1937.

Located in the Mojave Desert, Las Vegas is famous for abundant sunshine and hot temperatures. As you will see, though, it can also get well below freezing in Las Vegas.
In general, Las Vegas has a much milder climate than the extremes that can be found in the state of Nevada. This is born out in spades by the differences between the all-time hottest and coldest temperatures in Las Vegas, compared to the all-time hottest and coldest temperatures in Nevada.
The difference between the record hottest and coldest temperatures in Las Vegas is 109 degrees. The difference between the record hottest and coldest temperatures in Nevada is 175 degrees; a huge difference of 66 degrees.

As most people know about Las Vegas, it can get pretty hot in the city. I was in Las Vegas once in the summer and it was 112 degrees. I'm a runner, and decided to run in the heat, and it was not that bad because of the relatively low humidity levels in the city. I just baked in the heat instead of boiled on my run.
