Most people consider Texas to be a generally hot place, but as I can personally attest, it can get pretty cold in parts of the Lone Star State. I was visiting Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas with friends one time in early November, and as we entered the park it started snowing. We did not expect snow in Texas at any time, and certainly not in early November.
