Weather temperatures have been officially kept in Pasadena, California since 1893. These are the all-time record hottest and coldest temperatures ever recorded in Pasadena since 1893.

Located about 10 miles northeast of Los Angeles in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Southern California, the city of Pasadena has a much milder climate than the extremes found in the Golden State. This is born out by the differences between the all-time hottest and coldest temperatures ever recorded in Pasadena, compared to the all-time hottest and coldest temperatures recorded in California.
The difference between the all-time hottest and coldest temperatures ever recorded in Pasadena is 93 degrees. The difference between the all-time hottest and coldest temperatures ever recorded in the state of California is 179 degrees; a huge difference of 86 degrees.

Days when the temperature soars to 100 degrees or hotter are fairly common in Pasadena, and the city has had 100 degree days in eight out of the 12 months of the year (April through early November). Pasadena is very much a warm weather city, as it has a Mediterranean climate with dry hot summers and mild winters.
Pasadena is famous for the Tournament of Roses Parade and for hosting the Rose Bowl college football game every year, usually on New Year's Day. I've never been to the Tournament of Roses Parade, but I've been to the Rose Bowl a number of times to watch football games.
On January 25, 1987, I was at the Rose Bowl to watch my favorite NFL team, the New York Giants, play the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI. The weather could not have been nicer, it was in the 80s and sunny. You can see the San Gabriel Mountains over the top of the Rose Bowl, and as the sun sets it is a beautiful sight from in the stadium.
I've also been at the Rose Bowl for a few UCLA Bruins games over the years. Pasadena is a great place to visit, and other attractions in the city include the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), the Norton Simon Museum, City Hall, the Gamble House, and the supposedly haunted Colorado Street Bridge.
